I have had the honor of living life with Laura for the past couple of years.  She has guided me through seasons where I had no direction and has imparted her wisdom and understanding of the Spirit in ways that have changed me forever.  I asked her to write a prayer for us to help us tangibly put on the armor of God so you'll find that below and with a note of her instructions!  I'm praying this will be a powerful and useful tool in your arsenal as you come to understand God's protection and provision for you.

When I put on the armor of God it is an ACTION! Each piece I visualize or actually physically pick-up and put on. This just helps me with the imagery of his armor. I AM COVERED & PROTECTED as I put each piece - the WHOLE armor of God. 

"Thank you Jesus that You are with me today & that you are always for me! Today I put on your armor. I put on the belt of truth, the truth of Your Word, the truth of who You say that I am. I put on the breastplate of righteousness and shod my feet with the gospel of peace. I pick up the shield of faith to stop EVERY blazing arrow from the wicked one. And I take up the helmet of salvation - guarding my mind and thoughts today. Finally I take up the sword of the Spirit and ask that you would flood my mind and heart with scripture today- Your truth. Thank you that by your Spirit in me I walk freely as your daughter today....as a child of God. Protected and loved by You. Today I say NO to fear and YES to peace and security in You!"
